The counsellors involved at HELIOS COUNSELLING SERVICES are registered with the CCSA/ACHP and submits to their ethical code and constitution. On the grounds of our experience and qualifications we can offer a comprehensive service and training to people interested in living their purpose as counsellors.
Lorette Dye founded Helios Training Center (HTC) in 2003 as a response to the vast need in South Africa and other African countries. She also gives training in Arts
Therapies counselling since 2009.
HTC equips individuals in practically therapy using knowledge from psychology and other relevant fields, and applying it when working with clients in a counselling relationship. Lorette's expertise lies in practical therapy, sexual abuse and working across inter-cultural boundaries.
She is a sought after lecturer and has a missionary organization that works in 10 different African countries.
Lorette has strong academic credentials and is registered with the AATA. She is a Counsellor with training in Psychology, a lecturer, a published author and a missionary. She has a BA (Psych), DIP (THL), BA
(CW) and MA (Psych). She is a sought-after public speaker and was invited to speak at the 46th AATA annual conference in Minneapolis, USA on intercultural working
in Art Therapy. Her well-known book "The STREPCO-approach to Therapy" is seen as a leader in the field of practical therapy. In 2017, her book titled "Art Therapy / Using Art Techniques across Cultural and Race Boundaries" was published by the leading British publishers, Jessica Kingsley Publisher.
